This hands on position is responsible for creating a responsive, organized, and structured team environment committed to meeting deadlines and providing accurate and timely financial reports required by company management and regulatory agencies. This position will also be accountable for providing financial oversight, ensuring compliance and providing financial leadership to support the business and operations of UA WDF and Cavok . Strong ledership skills, ability to work well with operations, and an apptitude and skill to proactively find solutions. The position will report directly to the RFC Finance Manager in Brazil .
Responsibilities and Associated Duties
1.Financial Reporting and Finance leadership
•Prepare monthly financial statements/reports according to Local / US GAAP and submit financial reports to US head office in line with prescribed formats and timings.
•Work closely with the business leader to identity alternative approaches to optimizing the business performance by interpreting the financial results.
•Supervise and perform billing, payable and accounts receivable functions.
•Ensure payroll/ benefits are accurately reflected in financial statements and reconciled.
•Design and implement effective internal controls and procedures to safeguard the assets of the company and ensure integrity of data.
•Ensure Compliance with Global / Local policies and procedures.
•Ensure the reconciliation of all accounts on a minimum monthly basis.
•Ensure accurate bank reconciliations.
• Provide support to internal audit efforts by HQ Internal
Auditor and other HQ reviews.
2.Financial Analysis , performance management and Budgeting
•Interpret company financial results, provide budget to actual variance explanation by relating financial results to operational activity.
•Measuring and monitoring business performance and cash flow management.
•Work closely with country manager/ Business operations to enable the company to grow and achieve its business targets.
•Work together with the management team, help prepare annual budgets.
•Obtain necessary analysis and completion of CAR (Capital Appropriation Request) Form for all capex items.
•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
•Prior experience (minimum 5 years) of hands-on Accounting experience
• Knowledge of local GAAP and US GAAP.
•Excellent oral and written communication skills.
•PC proficient: MSWord, Excel, Power point
•Microsoft Dynamics AX ( Experience preferred )
•Frequent demand to establish priorities, meet time-sensitive deadlines, and juggle multiple projects.
